Daruma Salon opened in 2008 under founder Massimo Monopoli, who had been styling in Miami for more than twenty years before starting the business. The salon serves women, men and children for hair, and also offers nail and make-up services.

The salon aims to bring current trends to each client, adjusted to that client's hair type and personal style. Its stylists keep learning through education, share new techniques with one another and support each other's growth.

A visit is relaxed but businesslike: the atmosphere is friendly and inviting without feeling pretentious. Walk-ins are welcome, though booking ahead is suggested. Clients can text during business hours, and changes or cancellations need 48 hours' notice. The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and accepts all major credit cards.

Beyond hair, the nail menu covers signature manicures and pedicures, gel work, full acrylic sets and children's pedicures, and the salon also carries hand and foot care products.

Current trends adapted to each client's hair type and individual style, with stylists continuing their education and sharing techniques.
