Danii Driver is an independent haircutting studio in Chicago.

Haircuts are the core of the work and are offered for all hair textures at a set price. Each cut is shaped with personalized razor and scissor technique. Consultations are detailed and appointments run long enough to build each cut around the client's style, texture and daily life. The studio favors cuts that keep their shape as they grow out and suit clients who want bold looks, clients recovering from past hair damage, and clients who want their shape maintained.

Color services include root touch-ups and all-over color for roots or gray hair, face framing color, and Pintura Highlights, a hand-applied highlighting method made for curly hair that is done curl by curl without foils. Color pricing depends on hair length and density. Clients are advised to bring inspiration photos to the consultation.

Curl Coaching is a separate $150 consultation and education session for wavy, curly and coily hair. It includes a wash and style and a detox treatment, and it gives clients a chance to try products and techniques for caring for natural curls before they commit to a haircut.

Some booking rules apply. Hair should be freshly washed within the last 48 hours and arrive down, dry, detangled and free of shea, oils and butters, or an up-charge applies. Ponytails, braids and other styles that change the natural state of the hair are not suited to the visit. Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment are charged the full service fee, and appointments are no longer held if a client arrives 15 or more minutes late, with the full charge applying at the stylist's discretion. Pay-what-you-can haircuts can be requested before booking by email or Instagram direct message. Before and after photos are shared on social media only with a client's permission.
