Every haircut begins with a consultation with the stylist. The salon also offers a 15-minute complimentary consultation for clients who want to talk through their hair goals before booking, and virtual consultations may be available depending on the stylist. First-time color clients must have a consultation before booking. Some color services, bleach-out services and hair extension consultations are booked by phone rather than online. Prices are estimates set at the consultation, based on product usage, hair condition and stylist level. Women's cuts run from $70 to $130+, men's cuts from $60 to $90+, and blow dries from $60 to $90+, all depending on the stylist.

Cutloose does not offer perms at this time. It can also correct a haircut that did not go well by booking an extra-long haircut appointment, and it cannot cut hair with extensions installed by another salon. A satisfaction guarantee means completed services are not refunded, but a complimentary re-do is offered within two weeks if a service did not meet the salon's standards.

Skin care is not offered in the salon itself. An aesthetician works from inSPAration Studio behind the salon, offering the needle-free face lift, ProCell microchanneling therapy for the face and the Jet Plasma Treatment. A microdermabrasion membership costs $150 and covers six months of treatments at $50 each, plus 20% off other spa services. The ProCell package introduction is three treatments at $450 each with one free, for $1,350 paid in installments. Afterpay is accepted at the studio, and adding numbing to a ProCell treatment adds 30 minutes and $100.

Clients provide a card on file at booking, which is not charged then. Late cancellations are charged $50 per hour booked, and no-call, no-show appointments are charged the full service amount. Tweens and teens are welcome for a regular haircut, while clients aged 10 and under are seen at the stylist's discretion. Street parking is available on Westheimer, Dunlavy, Park St and Hawthorne. Product purchases earn treat points, and retail profits support the stylists' education funds.
