The studio sits on the lower stretch of Bloomfield Avenue in downtown Flemington. Parking includes about eight two-hour street spots in front, and a town lot directly across the street.

Peach is the primary visionary behind CUT and its sister businesses, Hardy's Coffee Bar and Hero-in Coffee Roastery. The owners began by asking what should make clients choose them, and the studio publishes its answers on its About page.

The team's view is that hair grows back but people do not, so the aim is to give every client full, personal attention. Peach greets clients warmly, and the studio is built around conversation between each designer and client.

Designers keep learning on the job. Elite Designers attend continuing education once a month and Hair Designers every other month. Cosmetology students and graduates start as apprentices and take advanced classes that use live models one to two times a week.

New designers complete a two- to four-month apprentice orientation before working on clients, followed by an evaluation from the artistic educators. The business also says every employee has opportunities to teach and to travel around the country.

The studio's stated mission is to love and serve clients through artisan hair design, supported by a team that keeps taking classes and trains its own designers from the apprentice stage.
