CustEm Aesthetics started as a beauty bar and later brought in other independent artists. That expansion added brow waxing, sugar waxing, lash extensions, lash lifts and nail services to the menu.

Body sculpting is the main focus, led by the owner, Em, who began this work in November 2020 after moving to the Bay Area during the pandemic. Liquid Lipo is a nonsurgical, non-injected treatment that dissolves fat. It comes as an original treatment, with cellulite treatment, or with firming, and whether one or two sessions are needed is decided at consultation. Other body contouring options include electrical muscle stimulation, vacuum therapy, Pro-Shape and radio frequency skin tightening.

Liquid Lipo sessions run 30 minutes and are priced at $25 for the arms, thighs or butt, $50 for the tummy or back, and $150 for the full body. Vacuum therapy and radio frequency tightening take 15 to 25 minutes depending on the area. Most body sculpting treatments can be done together on the same day, and a consultation is recommended to plan them. The salon also mentions packages with special pricing.

Lash extensions attach synthetic or mink lashes to each natural lash and take about 60 to 130 minutes; they typically last 2 to 4 weeks, with fills suggested every 2 to 3 weeks. Lash lifts curl natural lashes, can include an optional tint, and take about 60 to 75 minutes. Results last 6 to 8 weeks, and lashes should stay dry for the first 24 hours. Sugar waxing uses a paste of sugar, water and lemon juice to remove hair at the root, and results last about 3 to 6 weeks. According to the salon, its sugar wax is free from synthetic ingredients.
