Curly Hair Pro is a curly-hair specialist business owned and run by Matricia Songer, who clients and friends know as Tricia. The salon operates from Sola Salon Studios in Altamonte and books visits by appointment only.

The focus is on helping clients embrace their natural curl through newer curly-hair techniques and products. Cuts are done on wet hair, so clients can wear their hair straight or curly afterward, and signature cuts are adjusted to each client's curl texture and pattern.

The signature cuts are the Diametrix, an inner-layers sliding texturizing cut that reduces bulk, and the Ouidad, which either encourages or collapses curls depending on texture and the look wanted. Each is listed at $245 and takes about 150 minutes, and both include a style lesson, a finish and home care guidance. The salon says it is the only curly hair specialist in Florida to master the Diametrix technique.

Curly color covers glaze or toner, shadow root, single process color, custom painted highlights and corrective color, with all over color, partial and full highlights and color retouch also offered. Pricing depends on hair length, texture and density, and color results can vary by texture and length. Corrective color is priced after a consultation.
