Curls By Dezi serves all curl types and describes itself as a destination for curly hair needs. Every service is built around naturally curly hair, and the salon does not work on chemically straightened hair.

The salon is in suite 405 of My Salon Suite at 7989 Southtown Drive. It aims to be a comfortable space that encourages creativity. Hours are Tuesday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday noon to 6:30pm, Thursday 10am to 5pm, Friday 10:30am to 4pm and Saturday 9:30am to 4pm, with Sundays and Mondays closed. Appointments are usually booked about two months ahead. First-time clients must start with a curly cut. Clients should arrive with their curls worn down and natural, and light products in the hair are fine. A credit card secures each booking but is not charged in advance.

Cutting is done with Curl By Curl, a dry method that lets hair settle into its natural shape. Color services are split between Curl By Curl Hair Color, which includes root retouches, all-over color and Pintura work, and Creative Color, which covers silver blending, mermaid colors and specialty blonde. Treatments include detox, hydration, protein and scalp options, and Malibu C treatments are offered for build-up from hard water, chlorine and water softeners or as prep before color.

Extremely knotted hair may carry an extra detangling fee, and any detangling time beyond the booked appointment is charged. Changes or cancellations need at least 36 hours' notice by phone or email; shorter notice may be charged half the appointment value, and a no-show may be charged the full amount. Services are not refundable, but adjustments are offered within 7 days of an appointment.

The salon does not offer natural hair braiding, extension braiding, relaxers, perms, Brazilian blowouts, keratin treatments, flat ironing, curling iron work or blowouts. It can refer clients to other providers, including for straight styles. Email is the easiest route: the salon aims to return calls within 48 hours and answer emails and texts within 24 hours, and does not reply on days off.

Works only with naturally curly hair, using dry cutting that lets curls take their own shape and aiming for a calm, indulgent visit for every client.
