The salon says it aims to give each client an individual experience rather than a standard appointment. It describes itself as one of the best places in Philadelphia for precision cuts, fashion color, formal styling and barbering; these are the salon's own claims. It also says it was featured on PHL 17's The Weekend Philler with Tony Romeo, and describes its stylists and makeup artists as highly trained.

The menu runs from brow tinting and lashes to gloss, single and double process color, partial and full color, balayage and color correction. Extension options include tape-in, beaded I-tip, weft and keratin fusion extensions. Keratin Express and full keratin treatments, relaxers, permanent waves, blow dry and formal styling, bonding treatments and the Malibu Treatment, which removes hard water minerals and product buildup, round out the list. Makeup options include eyes-only makeup and airbrush makeup.

Wedding work can be done on location or with hair styled at a salon location. Bridal hair and makeup trials are booked for 1.5 hours; clients are asked to bring inspiration photos and any accessories. Day-of wedding pricing is explained when the contract is signed.

Crimson West validates parking at the garage at 1305 Walnut Street, which is attached to the Holiday Inn Express. Crimson East has metered parking along Haddon Ave. and Kings Highway, plus a metered lot across the street. Appointments can be booked online through the salon's Phorest pages. A cancellation and deposit policy covers no-shows and late cancellations. Since July 1, 2025, a 3% service charge has applied to credit card payments at both salons. The salon also runs a stylist training program that lasts 12 to 24 months, depending on the trainee's experience, and covers precision cutting, advanced color, blow dry, building a clientele, client support and product knowledge.
