The school runs a 12-month cosmetology program of 1,500 hours, with day and afternoon schedules. Training covers hair, skin and nails, chemical processes, facials, manicuring and pedicuring, and state laws and regulations, preparing graduates to work as hairstylists, color technicians, makeup artists or nail technicians. A separate 1,000-hour Cosmetology Teacher program covers learning and teaching styles and methods, along with state laws and regulations.

Salon services are open to walk-in guests and the general public. Each service is performed by a student under the supervision of an educator, and guests' visits also serve as training for the students. If a service needs extra time or product, the student stylist and instructor may add density or length, an extra chemical, or a toner, conditioning or scalp treatment.

The school is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Science and is approved by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs State Approving Agency, which welcomes veterans. It is a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce.
