Katie Fernandez founded the business in 2018 as a licensed aesthetician, and the practice has since grown to include more than facials. She brings over 19 years in the aesthetic industry, including nearly a decade in medical aesthetics before partnering with Dr. Jay Pickett. He serves as Medical Director, and together they added AOB Medical on Main Street in Columbia to the business.

The aesthetic side offers facials, lash and brow services, permanent makeup, laser treatments and hair reduction. The medical side includes Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers and biostimulators, IV therapy, medically supervised weight loss and sclerotherapy for leg veins. Injectable treatments are given by nurse injectors under the practice's medical oversight.

The business says its priorities are education, communication and client comfort. Treatment plans are customized to each client's needs. Skincare consultations, laser consultations and permanent makeup consultations can be done in person or virtually, and the $25 skincare and laser consultation fees are deducted from services booked afterward. Permanent makeup requires a non-refundable $100 deposit at booking, applied to the first appointment.

Membership pricing is central to how the practice is set up. The AOB Aesthetics membership offers member pricing on aesthetic services, access to VIP offers and skincare benefits. Aesthetics and hair removal memberships add consistent laser treatments and exclusive discounts. The AOB Medical membership gives member pricing on injectables, monthly credits toward services and flexible options. IV therapy can be added to any aesthetic service lasting an hour or more.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 9 am to 6 pm, Friday 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm. Gift cards come in set amounts or a custom amount, and eGift cards can be sent by text or email with a chosen delivery date. Booking is by phone at 618-281-0218.

Treatment plans are tailored to each client, with education, communication and comfort named as the core priorities.
