Coven Lash Co.

Coven Lash Co. is a recently opened studio on the south side of Indianapolis. It operates under the Coven Collective name and brings together several professionals, with lashes, nails, hair, facials and other services available in one place.

Chelsea Schiewer, the owner, is the studio's lash artist. Each set is planned around the individual client, with options running from natural everyday looks to dramatic ones. The studio says lash extensions are safe when a trained professional applies them, with sanitation and quality products as its priority. The products were chosen after extensive research into brands and styles.

A full set can take two to four hours, and clients lie down with their eyes closed. Before arriving, clients should have clean lashes and no makeup or face products around the eyes, and they are asked to avoid caffeine and remove contacts. Extensions shed with the natural lash during its growth cycle and can last up to six weeks, with an average loss of about one to five lashes a day. Aftercare involves brushing several times a day, washing daily, and avoiding oil, extreme heat, mascara and lash curlers. Professional removal is available for clients who want extensions taken off.

Fills depend on how many lashes a client has lost and how long it has been since the last visit. Extended fills, listed at $90 and taking about two and a half hours, suit clients who have lost more than half their lashes, have gone more than three weeks without a fill, or need extra time. Clients who have lost more than 80% of their lashes are asked to book a full set. Foreign fills, for lashes applied by another provider, also listed at $90, require a consultation, consent forms and a close-up photo sent beforehand. Listed prices include $50 for a classic fill, $60 for a light volume fill, $70 for a volume fill, $80 for a mega volume fill and $35 for removal.

The building also rents private suites with a shared lobby, a courtyard, utilities and wifi included, and 24/7 access, located close to 465.
