Color By Alison focuses on hair color. Its menu covers single process color for root touch-ups or a color change, foil highlights in several sizes, glaze and gloss finishes, custom color and treatments. Many services include blow dry finishing, and deluxe versions are priced and timed for thick, very long hair or extensions.

Custom color is built from several techniques. Options range from a mini custom color with a few foils and root shadow to a full custom color combining highlighting methods. The transformational option, aimed at virgin or lightly highlighted hair that is headed for an all over dimensional blonde or sun-kissed brunette, is the longest service on the menu at about four and a half hours and $650.

Before booking, a free 10-minute consultation lets clients talk through their goals. Single process color starts at $190, gloss and blow dry at $175, and add-ons such as bonding treatment, tip out and root shadow are priced separately.

The salon is open Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 AM to 4 PM, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and is closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Changes or cancellations need 24 hours' notice; later cancellations are charged 50% of the service cost, and no-shows or same-day cancellations are charged the full cost.
