Christy K. Brows & Wax Lounge Cresskill

Christy K Brows & Wax Lounge was started in 2016 by owner Christy K after years of working in salons, spas and medical spa settings. It began as house-call work, moved into a rented room in Englewood, then a larger space, and later opened in Cresskill as well.

Brows are the core of the studio. Christy and eyebrow artist Danya shape brows with waxing and tweezing, and offer tinting and combination packages. Christy's signature brow service pairs trimming, waxing and tweezing with a calming brow mask, warm hand mitts, a highlight and fill using Kelley Baker Brows products, and a choice of champagne or coffee or tea. Tweezing-only appointments are also available, and the studio does not offer threading.

Face waxing is priced by area, from the upper lip, lower lip and unibrow to the chin, sideburns, full cheeks, and hairline and forehead. Facial options range from the 30-minute Glow-n-Go facial and a deep cleansing customized facial or back facial to Hydrafacials in 30, 45 and 60 minute versions, which Sandy provides at the studio. Dermaplaning can be booked on its own or added to a facial, and extractions and hot mitts can be added as well.

Lash services use Novalash extensions in classic, volume and hybrid styles, with fills priced by appointment length. Tinting, lash lifts and a combined lift and tint are also offered. Clients remove contact lenses at home before lash tinting or curling. Brow and lash tints are semi-permanent and last up to a month, while a lash lift is a permanent curl that lasts until the lashes shed and regrow.

Booking is online and requires a valid credit card and email address, though paying at the appointment is optional. Cancellations need 24 hours notice; same-day cancellations are charged 50% of the total and no-shows 100%, both to the card on file. Clients who arrive significantly late may be denied service that day and rescheduled, and clients who miss two appointments need permission to book again and must prepay. Clients are asked to arrive a few minutes early to park and sign a consent form before services.

Visits are personal and one-on-one, with the aim of enhancing each client's natural beauty and boosting their confidence. Christy and the team tailor each appointment to the client's brow shape and growth, and offer advice on maintaining brows between visits.
