Christopher Salon & Home was founded by Christopher Downs, who brought the salon to Tiburon after more than fifteen years working in New York City. The salon focuses on precision cuts and luminous color, shaped one-to-one with each client.
Each visit begins with a conversation about the client's lifestyle, what they like, and how their hair naturally behaves. The cut, color, or style is then built around those answers, so the result suits the person's everyday life rather than a single look.
The salon is intimate, and appointments are one-on-one. Color services range from a glaze and single process color to partial and full highlights, balayage, men's highlights, and corrective color, which is priced after a consultation. Keratin treatments are also offered, including Smooth & Shine, which is meant to control frizz over the long term and leave a glossy finish followed by a polished blowout.
Alongside the salon, the shop carries hair care products in shampoos, conditioners, masks, body washes, oils, and soaks, as well as candles, books, decor, and gift cards. The salon is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Sundays.
