Chic of Essence LLC works as a luxury extension specialist based in a suite at Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge. The studio offers K-Tip extensions and a hybrid of K-Tips with a sew-in, with listed prices running from $1,975 to $3,500-plus depending on the service.

Visits typically begin with a private, one-on-one Luxe Consultation. During that session the stylist talks through a client's hair goals, evaluates their natural hair and recommends extensions, textures and installation methods that fit their lifestyle.

The studio has a few practical requirements. Ideal candidates have at least 4 inches of natural hair, and clients who relax their hair more often than every 3 months are not serviced. Services are not offered to clients under 16, and additional guests are only welcome if they are receiving a service because space is limited.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the studio closed Sundays and Mondays. Changes need at least 24 hours notice, and late arrivals get a 15-minute grace period before fees may apply.
