Visits are by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. No additional guests may wait during a service, and the salon does not work on hair for children; clients must be 13 or older. New clients, and anyone with questions about hair loss, can book a 20-minute consultation first. Clients with braids, sew-ins or similar styles need to take the hair down before arriving, and a $25 fee applies for takedowns and for shampooing a dirty weave.

Hair supply depends on the service. For braids, the salon provides Xpressions or Ruwaa prestretched hair, and clients must text their chosen color to the salon right after booking or no hair will be provided. For quick weaves, half-up half-down styles and sew-ins, the salon asks clients to choose from a list of store-brand hair, and most heads need two bags. Crochet hair is not supplied by the salon and must be one of a few specific styles. Clients who bring their own braiding hair are charged the same prices, but the salon will not complete the service with other hair and the deposit is forfeited.

Listed prices are starting rates and shift with hair length and density. Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable and are deducted from the total; the remaining balance can be paid by PayPal, Apple Pay, Zelle, credit card or cash. Appointments can be moved up to 24 hours ahead through the confirmation email, but otherwise a service cannot be changed without canceling and rebooking with a new deposit. Wigs and hair units, including frontals and closures, must be dropped off at least three business days before the appointment, and a $40 fee applies to rush or same-day customization. Deposits are returned for emergencies, a natural disaster, or an illness of the stylist or client, with documentation needed for other cases.

According to the salon, the aim is for clients to leave feeling confident and knowledgeable about their hair. Loc services use natural and organic products, according to the salon.
