Charmaine Braids is a braiding business run from Suite 206 at 2490 Lee Blvd in Cleveland Heights. Appointments take place in that suite, and braiding is the entire focus, with Charmaine as the stylist.
Booking starts with a $20 non-refundable deposit. After booking, clients text their name, the date, the time and the chosen style to confirm. Payment is taken by Zelle or Apple Pay. Clients supply their own hair and should arrive with it washed and blow-dried, with no product in it. Extra people and children are not allowed at appointments.
The price list covers feeders, knotless and box braids, ponytails, invisible locs, knotless twists, butterfly braids, crochet and track installs, and side or lemonade braids. Prices run from $50 for two feeders to $400 for a two-layer style that falls above the knee, and each style lists an approximate time. Thick or long hair adds $15 to any style that takes three hours or more. Arriving more than 10 minutes late incurs a $15 late fee, and arriving more than 20 minutes late cancels the appointment. A client who does not show up and does not call can no longer book future appointments. If a client books a mid-back style but arrives with waist-length hair, the waist-length price applies.
