Chantel opened ChanteLashes & Skin in Del Mar in 2015, after her esthetics career took shape following her move to San Diego in 2011. The studio's focus is lash extensions designed to be damage-free for natural lashes, alongside a menu of skincare treatments.

About

Signature Lash Extensions are placed as handmade fans of lightweight lashes or as single lashes on each natural lash. Each set is customized to the client's eye shape and lash line and can be kept subtle or made more dramatic. New clients begin with a Signature Full Set, which includes a consultation and takes about 2.5 hours. Fills booked 2-3 weeks after a visit take 75 to 90 minutes, while fills at 3-4 weeks or sets needing extra lash time take 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. Clients returning after 30 days, or with fewer than 10 lashes per eye, book a Returning Full Set. Lash health is assessed at every appointment, and the studio's damage-free guarantee excludes damage from outside factors such as seasonal shedding, medications, poor hygiene, unapproved products and pulling.

The skincare menu includes Aqua Hydrating Facial, a 60-minute machine facial using hydro-dermabrasion, vacuum extractions, and skin tightening treatments; Dermaplane Brightening Facial and Microcurrent Lifting Facial, both 60 minutes; and standalone treatments such as BioRePeel, a mid-depth TCA peel with minimal flaking that is recommended as a series of 4-6, Microchanneling, Microcurrent and dermaplaning. HydroJelly masks can be added to any facial for $10, and dermaplaning can be added to any facial for $50.

The studio is a bright, comfortable space with light music during appointments. Only one client is permitted in the treatment room, so guests cannot join. Appointments are timed, so late arrivals are not guaranteed extra time, and clients who have not arrived 20 minutes after their booking are treated as no-shows. Changes or cancellations are asked for at least 48 hours ahead. Booking is by phone at (858) 314-8440. Two free parking lots sit behind the building, with street parking on the side and several timed spots in front.

Lash work is customized to each client with the goal of leaving natural lashes undamaged, and lash health is checked at every visit.
