The salon opened in 2008 in Castleton, Indiana, and moved into The Stutz Building in July 2020. It is a studio of about 495 square feet with one stylist, the owner, Stephanie Elaine Whitton.

Visits begin before the appointment. New color clients are asked to book an online virtual color consultation or to text a current photo of their hair along with inspiration pictures, and the haircolor page includes a virtual color try-on tool. Before a color service, clients are asked to deep condition and arrive with clean, dry hair. Afterward, the salon asks them to wait 48 to 72 hours before shampooing, wetting their hair, or using dry shampoo.

Online booking runs through a Schedulicity link on the schedule page, and at least an hour is kept free between appointments for cleaning and disinfecting. The building has three entrances, the Courtyard South entrance off 10th Street, the 11th Street North entrance and the Capitol Avenue entrance. Free street parking is closest to the Courtyard, off Roanoke Street.

Each look is tailored to the individual guest, and new color clients are asked for a consultation or photos before the appointment.
