The practice was founded by Catherine Durboraw, MD, who opened her first clinic in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1998. It expanded part-time to Sun Valley and Jackson, Wyoming, and opened in Scottsdale in 2010, first as a concierge practice and later as a full-time clinic. The Scottsdale clinic is about 4,000 square feet and was redesigned and built in 2020. Idaho Falls, Jackson Hole and North Scottsdale are the three current locations.

The practice describes a prevention-first approach in which less invasive treatment is preferred. It says it recommends only treatments suited to each patient, and does not sell a treatment simply because it owns the equipment for it. The site states that it performs only FDA-approved treatments, and that only a board-certified medical doctor or physician assistant consults on treatment plans. Physician assistants complete an intensive residency with Dr. Durboraw before treating patients independently, and laser technicians and nurses work under her supervision.

A visit begins with an extensive consultation, after which a customized plan is drawn up. The practice offers age-based guidance from the twenties through the fifties and beyond. Plans may combine skin care products, injectables, fillers, and technologies such as Ultherapy and PRP. The practice says it aims to build long-term relationships with patients.

Injectable services include Botox and Dysport, which are used for frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines. The site says it has performed these injections for over 20 years and that its injectable providers are board-certified physician assistants or medical doctors. Dermal fillers include RHA and Radiesse, made from hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite, and are used for lip and cheek augmentation. Ultherapy lifts and tightens the face and neck using focused ultrasound, and CFA Trifecta pairs Ultherapy with platelet-rich plasma. The UltraClear Laser is a cold fractional fiber laser used for fine lines, deep wrinkles, age spots, scars and skin tone and texture.

The clinic stocks the SkinBetter Science, Defenage, Natura Bisse and CLn cleansing lines, and bases custom skin care advice for its patients on individual assessment. According to the clinic's website, SkinBetter Science is available only through doctors' offices and approved medical spas. Its reorder link is meant for current customers and for patients who have had a skin consultation at the clinic. Lash extensions, permanent makeup and pedicures are not offered.
