Owners Carlo Nunez and Marco Aviles took it over in 2006 and have since shifted it from an eclectic shop into a hair salon that also offers co-ed treatments.

Clients come from many walks of life, including producers, writers, fashion editors, parents, children, and people of all ages and backgrounds. The salon has seven chairs and welcomes both walk-ins and booked appointments.

The menu covers cuts for short and long hair and for children, a range of color from gloss and single or double process to partial and full highlights and Bayalage, blowouts, scalp exfoliation, deep conditioning, and a Lasio keratin treatment. Bridal clients can book trial makeup, trial hair, or a combined trial before the big day, and makeup services range from eyes and lashes to full face with or without lashes.

Clients booking makeup are asked to tell the artist about any allergies to makeup or skincare products before their service day. Current hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Thursday 11 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturday 9 AM to 5:30 PM. The salon can be reached at 1-212-675-4636 or salon@carlomarcostudio.com.
