Camacho Beauty Studio

Camacho Beauty Studio is a small studio on the lake Houston side of Humble, located in Suite A103 inside G&G Nail Spa. The studio handles hair and makeup for all kinds of occasions, along with semi-permanent makeup, microblading and brow waxing. Maria Camacho founded the studio and runs it herself.

Wedding work is a large part of the studio. Bridal hair and makeup is offered for bridal parties in both large and small packages, and destination weddings are also covered. Pricing is by quote, starting at $250 for Wedding Hair and Makeup. To request a quote, send your name, the venue, the wedding date and your headcount. The studio says it has more than 13 years in the beauty industry and works on over 100 weddings a year.

Brow services focus on semi-permanent techniques. Microblading is a brow tattoo method that deposits pigment only into the uppermost layer of skin, and a touch-up session is held about four weeks after the first visit. Ombre Powder Brows and Ombre Combo Brows use dots of pigment layered to give a powder-like finish. A first brow session includes a consultation, numbing, mapping and measuring of the brow outline, and healing instructions, with numbing cream included in the price. Microblading appointments run about 1.5 to 2 hours, and ombre appointments about 2 to 2.5 hours. Healing typically takes 7 to 10 days, and color takes 4 to 6 weeks to fully settle. The studio says microblading results can last up to a year, depending on skin type, lifestyle and products used.

Before booking, a free consultation is available by arrangement. Clients with sensitive skin or past allergies are asked to come in a week before their appointment for a patch test. Brow services carry a list of contraindications, including pregnancy or nursing, blood thinners, eczema or psoriasis, and metal, lidocaine or pigment allergies. Work over another artist's microblading or tattoo is accepted only when the old work is at least 50% faded, and photos are requested before booking. Visitors, children, pets and animals are not allowed at appointments. New client appointments require a non-refundable $100 deposit, and touch-ups require a $50 deposit applied to the total. Changes need at least 72 hours notice, and late rescheduling carries a $40 fee.

The studio follows Texas Department of State Health Services and health and safety guidelines and uses sterilized, new, single-use products on clients' skin.
