Butter Beauty Bar is a salon suite at 124 Trade Ct., Suite 401, in Mooresville, inside My Salon Suites. Betsy created it and runs it herself, and it is set up for moms and busy women who want color that is easy to live with.

The suite's aim is a welcoming space where guests can relax while getting low-maintenance color that still looks good after they leave. Color and adult haircuts include a shampoo, blow-dry and style, and hot tools can be added for a more finished look. Online booking is available, and guests who are unsure what to book can text the stylist.

Balayage is a signature here, hand-painted without foil, and a foilayage option is offered for cooler, more controlled lightening. Lived-in color, which brightens natural color with less upkeep than foils, is another specialty. Keratin treatments are offered for coarse, frizzy hair, and K18 treatments are available before color or as a deep conditioner to help repair heat, bleach and color damage.

Services are offered Tuesday through Saturday, with shorter hours midweek and on Saturday. A free 15-minute hair assessment and consultation is available for guests deciding what to book.
