Bubbly Aesthetics is owned and run by aesthetician Jalyn Batkins from its studio in Suite 14 on West Cary Street in Richmond. The salon describes itself as a calm place for relaxation and treatments that enhance the skin. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

About

Brow work is one of the main draws. Brow lamination with mapping is the studio's signature service, and brow stain, a blend of henna and dye, is suited to sparse brows. HD Brows combine stain, mapping, waxing and lamination after an in-depth consultation, and Brow Maintenance is for clients who had lamination or stain in the past three to five weeks.

Facials range from a shorter Mini Bubbly Facial to the 90-minute All About Me Facial, which includes LED therapy and an upper body massage but not extractions. The Bubbly Signature Facial adds customized treatments, massage and exfoliation. Waxing covers everything from small areas such as the nose and ears to full arms, legs and back, and the Bubbly Brazilian Wax removes hair from the vagina, labia, butt strip and inner thigh. The studio lists that wax for women only and states that trans women are welcome. Results last up to four weeks when hair is about the length of a grain of rice and has at least two weeks of growth, and clients are asked to exfoliate beforehand.

Memberships and packages are a way to plan ahead. The Bubbly Brazilian Membership is $52 every four weeks and includes one Brazilian wax a month, priority booking, a free stomach strip and inner thigh add-on, and a discounted vajacial upgrade. Packages cover multiple sessions of brows, facials, waxing and combinations, and are booked through the services page and applied automatically at checkout.

Lash and makeup services round out the menu. The Korean Lash Lift and Tint lasts six to ten weeks and suits medium-long lashes, with a lash serum recommended beforehand. The Bubbly Lash and Brow Combo starts at $170 and includes oil and conditioner. Bridal and special event makeup starts at $100, with wedding and event pricing by inquiry, and the studio's portfolio shows bridal and prom work.

Booking policies: many services require a deposit, usually $25, and the Bubbly Body Wax and All About Me Facial require $50. Cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead are charged a 30% inconvenience fee, and no-call, no-show appointments are charged the full service value. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, after approval before the appointment. Clients are asked to stop actives and acne medications beforehand, for about three days for the Bubbly Signature Facial, three to five days for Bubbly Signature Brows and five days for brow lamination.

The salon describes its goal as a serene, relaxing setting with treatments meant to enhance the skin.
