Brows & Co by Marissa

Brows & Co by Marissa is a brow studio in Indianapolis, run by brow artist Marissa Michele Brows. Besides client appointments, the studio teaches a monthly microshading brow training course for people who want to learn the work.

Services cover brow shaping and color, including microblading, powder brows and brow lamination, along with lip blushing and lash services. Microblading is done with topical numbing applied first. Brow shape is planned around each client's natural shape, with suggestions on color and shape, and the client decides how natural or makeup-like the finished brows should look.

Clients who have had brow work before need to book a consultation or send a photo of that earlier work first. Microblading pigment is semi-permanent and typically lasts one to two years. A touch-up is usually recommended about six weeks after the first appointment and again around 12 months later. Healing takes about 7 to 10 days, during which the color fades noticeably and the brows may peel or scab; clients are asked not to pick at them.

Enrollment runs monthly at a cost of $1,750, which covers a complete kit, a workbook manual, a machine and study material to review before the course begins. Topics taught include how the skin is structured, the mapping method, working on live models, operating the machine, handling legal paperwork and assembling starter kits. A $200 deposit holds a place and cannot be refunded. Customized payment arrangements and financing options are also offered.
