About

Brows By Treya was founded by Treya Hooben after she left the engineering industry. The studio is in Raynham, Massachusetts, and centers on brow services, with lash work and a range of facial and beauty procedures offered alongside them.

A visit begins with a consultation about the look a client wants. The brow is then mapped to the face, and only after that is the brow created. A standalone microblading consultation takes 15 minutes and costs $30; that fee does not go toward a procedure, and booking one is optional.

Brow options include nano microblading, which uses a thinner blade to make hair-like strokes, and nano machine brows, which use machine hair strokes for a softer finish than microblading. Existing pigment can be removed with the glycolic method, which typically involves about a week of healing with redness and scabbing likely. A tiny tattoo service covers one small tattoo up to an inch, starting at $100.

Touchups are priced by how long it has been since the initial microblading appointment, from a spot touchup for one small area to touchups at 3 to 6, 7 to 12, 13 to 18, 19 to 23 and 24 to 36 months. Corrections are available for clients who had brow work from another artist; clients send photos after booking, and the salon may decline a correction if it cannot reach the desired look.

Clients are asked to give 24 hours' notice to cancel, or a fee up to the full value of the procedure applies. No-shows are charged full price. Before microblading-related appointments, clients should avoid coffee and other stimulants, alcohol, other blood thinners and Retin A skincare. Clients under 18, pregnant or nursing clients, clients on blood thinning medication, and clients with viral infections or disease are not booked for these procedures, and clients on thyroid medication are asked to check with their doctor first. The studio is open Wednesday 10 am to 8 pm, Thursday 10 am to 4 pm, and Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Treya Hooben pairs careful technique with creative judgment, working through a consultation, mapping and then the brow itself.
