Brown Suga Esthetics

Brown Suga Esthetics is a private wax and intimate skincare studio in North Houston, founded by licensed esthetician Kynnedi Brown. The studio describes itself as one of North Houston's favorite waxing studios. It serves clients from North Houston, Spring, The Woodlands, Champions, Klein and Willowbrook.

Visits are by appointment only and are booked through the studio's online GlossGenius page, with a card on file required to book. Appointments are kept unhurried, the studio is private and warm, and treatments are shaped to each client rather than run from a single template. Only the client receiving a service may be in the treatment room, and guests wait in the downstairs lobby.

Brazilian waxing is the core service. New clients pay $75, and established clients pay $65 when their last wax was within five weeks; longer gaps are rebooked as a new-client visit. Hair should be about one-fourth of an inch long, usually three to four weeks of growth, and longer hair is trimmed on arrival. First waxes may not be fully smooth because hair grows in multiple cycles, and regular waxing is recommended every four to six weeks. According to the studio, Brazilian waxing is safe during pregnancy, and clients past six months are asked to consult a physician first. Waxing can take place during a period with a tampon or menstrual cup, and the studio keeps supplies on hand. The studio recommends pairing a Brazilian with a vajacial in the same visit, since the vajacial calms skin after waxing.

Intimate bleaching lifts discoloration and hyperpigmentation from an intimate area and includes waxing and a take-home serum. Clients are assessed in person before treatment begins. If skin is not ready that day, the visit moves to a vajacial suited to the concern, and the deposit applies to that service. According to the studio, most clients see initial results within one to three sessions, while some skin needs a series of three, four or six. Sessions are scheduled every four to five weeks, and the studio favors cooler months and advises avoiding booking within seven to 14 days before beach days, pool time or extended sun.

A 50 percent non-refundable deposit is required to book and goes toward the remaining balance at the appointment. Cancelling or rescheduling 24 or more hours ahead allows one transfer of the deposit to a new appointment within seven days. Cancelling inside 24 hours or a no-show forfeits the deposit, and no-shows are charged in full. Arrivals have a five-minute grace period, after which a $15 late fee applies if the visit can still fit. Payment is by card or exact cash. Hours are Monday and Wednesday 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Thursday 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with Tuesday and Sunday closed.
