Brow Gal Aly

Brow Gal Aly is a brow studio at 1356 East Colorado Street in Glendale, California. Its services fall into three groups: brow sculpting, microblading with touch-ups, and saline tattoo removal.

Brow sculpting starts with a brow shape for $40, which includes brow mapping, wax shaping and cleanup, trimming and tweezing, and a free soft fill-in and highlight. Adding tint brings the total to $80. Tint lasts up to two weeks on the skin and three to five weeks on the hair, and comes in a soft natural shade or a bolder one. Brow lamination with shape and tint is $130. It is a three-step treatment that straightens and relaxes the brow hair, with results lasting up to six to eight weeks. Clients sensitive to wax can choose an all-tweeze option instead.

Microblading is offered as hairstrokes only or as hairstrokes combined with soft powder shading. Initial hairstrokes alone are $550, and the combination is $600, offered for the combination service only. Hairstrokes alone suit normal to dry skin and typically last one to three years, while the combination suits all skin types and lasts one to three years. Touch-ups are not included in initial work. A 5 to 8 week touch-up is $150 for returning clients, a 6 month color boost and refresh for early fading is $250, and an annual touch-up is $350. Annual touch-ups on previous work are $400, and touch-ups on work from another artist are $450 after the existing work is assessed and approved. Clients with microblading or tattoo work from another artist send clear photos by text before booking, and cover-ups are booked as new initial appointments.

Saline tattoo removal costs $200 in total and usually takes about three to five sessions. It uses Li-FT saline lightening solution from Li Pigments, a hypertonic saline solution. Microblading is not booked for clients under 18, those who are pregnant or nursing, or anyone with a viral infection or sunburn. Lamination and semi-permanent makeup each have their own lists of conditions, medications and recent treatments that rule them out. Clients are asked to pause exfoliants and retinol for at least 10 days before a procedure and avoid coffee, caffeine, alcohol and blood thinners beforehand.

Deposits range from $20 for a brow shape to $100 for initial microblading, and they are non-refundable and non-transferable. They count toward the total, and the balance is paid on the day of the appointment. Cancelling with less than 24 hours' notice forfeits the deposit and incurs a charge of half the booked service. A no-call, no-show forfeits the deposit and is charged the full service. Refunds are not given once a service is completed.
