Brighton Foot & Ankle is an independent podiatry practice, operating outside any hospital system or corporate chain. Patients come from across Livingston County, including residents of Whitmore Lake, Pinckney, New Hudson, Milford, Howell, Hartland, Hamburg, South Lyon and Brighton. According to the practice, it is a trusted, highly rated podiatrist in the area. Dr. Bryant Castelein founded the practice, and foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Yara Tinawi works alongside him.
The practice aims to solve problems in the least invasive way possible. Physicians review each patient's symptoms, daily life and goals before building a treatment plan, and they work through conservative options before recommending surgery. The practice says most conditions can be treated without surgery, and it coordinates care with area physicians when needed.
Care covers conditions from common complaints to complex surgical cases. Imaging is handled in-house with digital x-rays, which allow same-visit diagnosis of ankle and foot fractures, and a CT scan is used for surgical planning of advanced ankle fractures. CT, MRI and vascular testing are referred to an outside imaging facility when needed. New patients can download their forms ahead of time or arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete them. The office has no cancellation fees, asks for notice as early as possible when cancelling or rescheduling, and schedules five days a week, including next-day appointments. It accepts a listed range of insurance plans and offers cash pay; co-pays, deductibles and balances required by insurance are due at the visit.
The Studio is a nail studio inside the podiatry office with a clean, calm feel. It offers manicures, pedicures and gel services, along with a medical pedicure that uses sterilized medical-grade tools for thickened nails, heavy calluses and fungal concerns. Listed prices are $40 for a standard manicure, $50 for a gel manicure, $60 for a standard pedicure, $70 for a gel pedicure and $185 for a 90-minute medical pedicure. Extra massage time is listed at $20 per 20 minutes. The Studio takes appointments Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Aims to resolve problems in the least invasive way possible, works through conservative options before recommending surgery, and builds plans around each patient's daily life and goals.
