BreCyn Salon was established in 1987 by Cyndi Mitchell and moved to its current Beverly Blvd. location in 1989. The name honors Cyndi Mitchell and her daughter Bre. The salon describes its history as spanning more than 30 years.

The salon says its mission is to give each guest an authentic experience that helps them feel like themselves, and that a good experience for guests is its first priority. It says its stylists are highly educated and attend classes regularly. The team also pursues ongoing training in hair color, haircuts and fashion trends.

Services are grouped on the booking site into consultations, haircuts, hair color, hair styling, hair care and hair extensions. Consultations suit guests who are unsure what to book, and a 30-minute color transformation consultation is required for major color changes, corrective color and work that needs extensive planning. Prices are starting-at figures that vary with hair length, density and add-ons, and the stylist gives an exact quote. Pricing is multi-tiered.

Policies cover satisfaction and timing. Guests who are not fully happy can contact the salon within 7 days to book an adjustment appointment, but refunds are not offered and product sales are final. Arriving up to 5 minutes early is recommended, since late arrivals shorten treatment time and are charged the full service rate. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, are charged the full service amount. Because the salon is closed Sundays and Mondays, Tuesday appointments must be cancelled by 4:00pm the Saturday before.

The salon aims for an authentic, personal experience and puts guest experience first, with stylists who keep up with classes in color and cutting.
