About

The spa moved to Market Street after being displaced from its earlier home on Piedmont Avenue. It now has two suites with four treatment rooms, and free street parking is available nearby.

The owner, Cayla, has worked in the spa industry for almost 20 years, starting as a spa receptionist and moving through spa manager, spa director and esthetician roles before owning the business. The spa describes itself as the only Certified Green spa in Alameda County and says it was featured in a Redfin guide to things to do for new Oakland residents.

The Custom Treatment Facial opens with a skin consultation tailored to each client. It then moves through steam, a double cleanse, extractions where needed, facial massage, and a mask selected for the skin, and closes with a lip and eye treatment, a customized serum, moisturizer, and SPF. The menu also includes a teen facial for skin ranging from routine care to acne, a back facial, and a men's facial aimed at ingrown hairs, dry skin, blackheads, and fine lines around the eyes. Ultrasound can be added to any facial.

Massage options include Swedish, deep tissue (with pressure adjustable during the session), prenatal (no massage in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy) and couples massage in the couple's suite. Massages are by appointment only, with on-call certified massage therapists who work with the spa, and CBD oil can be added for a small fee.

Yoni steam sessions, formerly called V-Steams, are offered privately or as group sessions for two, three or four people, with a reserved space, water and tea, and BYOB. Spa packages combine facials, massage and steam, and four membership tiers provide monthly treatments and discounts on retail and other services.

Spa services are booked online with a deposit, and the phone number for the appointment is sent after booking since there is no traditional front desk. New clients show ID, and booking for someone else requires proof of the recipient's identity. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 48 hours notice, and late arrivals over 15 minutes must be reported before the start time. Parties of five or more have an 18% gratuity added automatically.

Built around self-care, with prices kept reasonable so that regular treatments stay affordable for local clients.
