The salon is at 8030 W Broad St in Henrico, Virginia, and keeps Wednesday through Friday hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesdays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursdays, and 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on Fridays. It is closed Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Silk press is the core service. The Simple Silk Press covers the straightening itself without a deep moisture mask or trim. The Deluxe Silk Press adds a deep moisture mask and a trim. The Silver Silk Press is a special offer that the salon describes as all-inclusive.

The salon uses Kenra Professional, KeraCare, Beauty Matrix, Food for Soft and Aluram Hair Products. It says donations from clients help fund products, tools and continued education.

Booking comes with a few rules to know in advance. A retainer is taken toward the total at the end of the visit, and it is non-refundable if an appointment is cancelled within 48 hours or missed. Cancellations need at least 48 hours notice, and shorter notice is charged the full service price. Arriving late costs $5 per minute after a 10-minute grace period. Appointments outside standard hours, same-day bookings, and requests made when the schedule is full carry a non-refundable $45 squeeze-in fee paid at booking. Scheduling by the salon on a client's behalf adds an $8 administrative fee. Members of the Client Loyalty Program can have one cancellation fee waived per year for cancellations made without 24 hours notice, and fees may be waived for genuine emergencies. Hair services are non-refundable, but clients who are unhappy should say so right away or within two days, and the salon will try to adjust the result during the visit. Identification and date of birth may be requested on arrival, and the salon may refuse service where there is a health or safety risk. The salon does not accept checks.
