Fatoumata Koffi founded Braids By Faith and runs it as owner and master technician. She began braiding in Africa in 1997, and the salon's menu reflects that background, spanning braids in many sizes, twists, crochet and weave installs, natural hair work and styles for children and teens.

The salon describes itself as a luxury salon. Braid prices are listed by size, from $170 for jumbo styles up to $290 for small braids, and natural styles such as cornrows, two-strand twists and locs re-twists start at $65. Styles not listed on the website may not be offered.

Appointments are secured with a deposit that cannot be refunded; if a booking is cancelled, the deposit is kept. Some services are open to walk-ins, but certain braiding styles require a booking. Appointments scheduled between 5 and 7 a.m., Monday through Saturday, carry a $25 fee. Service outside business hours can be arranged on request. Balances are settled in cash, through Zelle or through CashApp; card payments are not accepted. Clients who arrive together with one other person, such as a friend or relative, on the same day receive $10 off any style priced above $155. Photos or video may be captured during appointments for marketing purposes, and clients can ask their stylist beforehand not to be photographed.

The Braids By Faith Foundation is a nonprofit linked to the business. It offers free braiding at shelters, donates clothing and funds food for children in Africa.

Fatoumata Koffi uses her knowledge of scalp conditions to support healthy hair growth, and the salon offers a hair and scalp care service alongside its braiding menu.
