The practice says it builds a plan for each client, combining several treatment types, and that its recommendations are guided by data and published evidence. Dr. Derrick reviews scientific literature on the work done at the practice.
Esthetic services start with facials. The BoxBar Signature Express Facial is a 30-minute, $75 option that lets you choose one boost, such as an acne peel, glow enzyme, hydration mask, de-puff massage or dermaplaning. The full BoxBar Signature Facial is an hour for $150 and can include massage, exfoliation through peels or dermaplaning, extractions, high frequency, masques and serums. Students save $10 on Express Facials with a student ID shown at the time of service. Other facials target specific concerns: the Clear Skin Corrective Facial for acne, pigmentation, scarring and congestion, and the Radiant Skin Facial for exfoliation and hydration. Chemical peels come in a 30-minute Express Chemical Peel for $100 and a one-hour Chemical Peel Facial for $150, both using Skin Theraputic or Eminence Organics peels that start at a lighter strength.
Microneedling is offered with SkinPen for fine lines, hyperpigmentation, scarring and stretch marks on the face, neck and body. Topical numbing is applied, and downtime is typically one to five days. Laser and light services include Laser Genesis, IPL Photofacial, LimeLight IPL for sun damage and redness, Titan skin tightening, Microneedling plus Laser Genesis, and Pearl fractional laser resurfacing, which includes post-care products. Laser hair removal uses an Nd:YAG laser, with pricing set by body area, and a consultation is needed for a quote. Laser sclerotherapy is priced by the number of veins treated on the face or legs.
Lipedema and metabolism care is a separate track with diagnostic visits, a comprehensive ultrasound-based visit, nutrition consultations, compression garment measurement with dry brushing instruction, manual lymphatic drainage and pre-operative planning. Medically supervised weight loss is also offered, along with semaglutide and tirzepatide injections, which the site describes as FDA-approved medications.
Good to know before booking: the practice asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and charges a $75 fee for no-shows or late cancellations, with a card kept on file for that purpose. Cosmetic packages for sclerotherapy, laser, injection and facial services are non-transferable and non-refundable. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm. Gift certificates are available, and skincare can be ordered through the BoxBar & Company online shop.
