Dr. Ellen Derrick

Dr. Ellen Derrick founded BoxBar Beauty and appears on the team page as a vascular surgeon. She holds MD and MPH degrees, the FACS and FSVS credentials, and a Diplomate certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Drawing on more than 25 years as a physician and surgeon, she is a former clinical faculty member at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She led a statewide effort with the University of Washington and the Washington State Foundation for Healthcare Quality, establishing a Surgical Care and Outcomes Assessment Program database that tracks results in vascular surgery, interventional radiology and interventional cardiology. She sits on two American College of Surgeons councils, Advocacy and Vascular Surgery, and represents King County as a delegate on Washington State health care policy. Her writing has appeared in a large number of technical and professional journals, and she has presented at symposiums and seminars nationwide.
