Most appointments are priced by what the work involves. A short consultation, at $25 for 10 minutes, comes first for loc repair, extensions, wick work and starter locs. Retwists start at $100 for one hour with shampoo included, and the price rises if the retwist is done more than 6 weeks after the last one or if the client has more than 100 locs. Crochet maintenance for going down the locs by crochet method is charged per loc, and root-only wick and straight hair crochet maintenance has a separate hourly charge for that work.
The studio also sells its own natural haircare line, made to nourish the scalp and strengthen locs. Listed products include Rosewater Mist Spray, Pina Colada Growth Oil, Retwist Butta, Edge Poppers, Loc Essence Spray and Loc Tea Bath.
Beyond the chair, the business is tied to loc education and community. Anj has spent more than six years developing advanced training methods for people who want to become locticians, leads the Brotherhood Loc Tour, an eight-month, nine-city program for the loc community, and wrote the book Too Much Skin To Cover My Thoughts, published in March 2025.
