About
Anj Blanchard-Carter founded LocsByAnj and works as a loctician, educator and product developer at the Indianapolis studio. She has more than eight years of hands-on loc work and spent sixteen years managing a high-profile loctician. Her specialties are traditional locs, Congo locs and wick locs.
She has spent over six years developing advanced loc training methods for people who want to become locticians. She also manages the Brotherhood Loc Tour, an eight-month, nine-city experience for the loc community, and wrote the book Too Much Skin To Cover My Thoughts, published March 16, 2025.
Her work centers on bringing locs back to health and keeping them healthy.
