Bomb Hair Studio

Bomb Hair Studio was launched in March 2022 by co-owners Raissa and Tatiana, who met through a mutual friend in 2016 and began working together on braiding tours about three years later. The salon grew out of that touring work. Bomb Twists were introduced as a service during the tour period, before the studio opened.

The salon offers braids, twists, locs and crochet installs. Its braid services include knotless braids, gypsy box braids and Afro kinky twists, along with bomb, spring and passion twists. Locs include microlocs, Belle Microlocs and faux micro locs. Crochet styles are also offered, and a micro parting option is available on some install services.

Belle Microlocs were originated by Tatiana. The method uses small microlocs installed with human hair kinky extensions. The salon uses only its own hair in installs and does not sell hair extensions to clients, and the hair used in installs is included in the total service price.

The studio describes its mission as serving women with braids that are luxurious, pain-free and high quality; these are the salon's own descriptions. It describes its service as fast, with attention on each client's braiding experience. Clients travel to the studio from across the US and a few other countries. Consultations are offered, with the fee and deposit discussed on the FAQ page, and clients may text a photo of their hair before booking for guidance.

Visit details: the salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9AM to 5PM, and is closed Sunday and Monday. For twist styles, clients should arrive with hair in its natural state, not blow dried or heat styled. Hair that arrives not detangled and combed out carries a $15 up-charge unless a wash service or package is booked. Clients running late should notify the salon by phone call or text. Each client has a 10-minute grace period, after which a $1 per minute charge applies. Cancellations made 30 minutes or more after the start time are charged half the service cost, and no-shows are charged the full service cost and may be barred from future booking. Deposits are not transferable, and reschedules must be made through the salon directly.
