Silk presses come in several versions, including a Tuesday-only special and one using Cécred product, alongside locs, retwists, twist styles, perm and silk roller sets, finger waves, pixie curls, color and trims. Men's services include straight back cuts, design braids and take-down with wash. Weaves are a large part of the work, from quick weaves and sew-ins to closures, crochet installs and wig installs, with maintenance and take-down for styles the salon installed. Treatments such as steam, protein, rice water and aloe vera are offered, and lash services are available as well.

A visit starts with a shampoo unless you arrive with freshly washed hair, and the owner shampoos every silk press client. Hair should arrive fully detangled, without braids, old styles, knots or tangles. Detangling a previous style carries a $25 fee and can add 30 to 45 minutes. Wigs, frontals and closures need to be dropped off 24 to 48 hours ahead for customization, and same-day customization adds a $20 charge. Hair is available for purchase with installation.

Booking requires a $25 deposit that secures the appointment and is applied to the total; it is refunded only if the salon cancels. An appointment is rejected if the deposit does not arrive within an hour of booking. The balance is due at the visit, and payment is accepted by CashApp, Apple Pay, Chime, Zelle or cash, but not by card. All services are chosen at booking, since no add-ons are taken on the day. Arriving more than 10 minutes late brings a $15 late fee, and appointments 20 minutes late are canceled with the deposit forfeited. A deposit can move once within the same month if the change is made at least 72 hours ahead, and a change within 24 hours applies $15 of it to the new time. Same-day appointments must be paid within two hours of the scheduled time. Squeeze-ins cost $50 plus the service price, with a further $100 on Sundays and holidays, where they are for emergencies only. Only clients being served may come in, so children and extra guests must also be getting services. No-call, no-show clients are permanently blocked from booking.
