Amanda opened Blush in 2017 as a one-chair studio in Lakeview, inside Sola Salon Studios. She runs the studio herself and works behind the chair with every client.

Visits are one-on-one with the stylist and never double booked. The studio is quiet and relaxing, and the environment is set to the client's preference, so clients are not required to make conversation. A lap desk is available for anyone who wants to work on a laptop, and beverages, sparkling water, snacks and candy are offered during appointments.

Color runs from clear glosses and root retouches through hairline mini partials, highlights, balayage, foilyage and teasylights, with toner or gloss and a blow dry included on many services. Cuts include a quick dry trim, a haircut add-on for chemical services, and haircut and blow dry options for fine or thin hair and for thick or long hair.

Keratin Complex treatments come in a full version that lasts up to five months and an express version that lasts six to eight weeks, with a same-day option using Cezanne. The pre-shampoo scalp detox uses a Dr. Groot cleanse and steam and comes with a complimentary steam eye mask.

Some limits apply. The studio does not do clippers, undercuts, buzz cuts, pixie cuts or short cuts that go around the ear. Highlight and balayage services for roots of two inches or more, or past 14 weeks, need a separate booking. Any extra charge, such as for very long or thick hair, is disclosed at the start of the service.

Each visit is one-on-one and starts with a look at the hair and scalp, so treatments are chosen to suit the individual client.
