Blue Valley Massage Therapy & Spa

Blue Valley opened in 2001 and is locally owned. Its founder and owner, Hollie Staten Merchant, is a medically licensed massage therapist, and the team includes licensed massage therapists and cosmetologists.

Massage sessions are personalized. Deep tissue work is adjusted to address muscle tension and areas of discomfort, with 60- and 90-minute appointments available. Migraine relief and TMJ-focused sessions are customized to each client. Prenatal massage is offered in the second and third trimesters only. Lymphatic drainage massage uses light, rhythmic technique, and clients who recently had surgery or are seeking it for a medical condition are asked to contact the spa before booking.

Couples massage takes place side by side with two licensed therapists in one of the two dedicated couples suites, in 60- or 90-minute sessions. The signature Couples Massage and Japanese Hair Spa experience can be paired with other spa treatments.

Beyond massage, the spa offers therapeutic facials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, hydradermabrasion, lash and brow enhancements, and a Japanese foot ritual. Spa day packages are available for one person or two friends, and the spa also hosts bachelorette celebrations and group spa days. Gift certificates for massage, couples experiences, spa packages and other treatments can be purchased online.

The spa serves guests from Lancaster, Fairfield County and nearby communities, as well as visitors to the Hocking Hills region. Eligible massage services can be paid with HSA or FSA funds, depending on the client's benefits plan. The building is ADA accessible, and clients with accessibility needs can contact the spa to discuss accommodations and treatment options.
