Bliss Beauty Bar

Bliss Beauty Bar was founded by licensed master esthetician Layonna Collado as an inclusive space where clients can work toward their skin and beauty goals. The studio pays particular attention to multicultural skin needs, and treatments are shaped around each client's concerns.

The studio is in Suite 201 at 4820 Southpoint Dr., close to I-95 and about 50 minutes south of Washington, DC and 45 minutes north of Richmond. Visits are by appointment only, Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Treatment rooms are described as clean and private, and additional guests are not allowed during appointments.

The signature skincare option is the 60-minute Custom Skin Experience, priced at $110. It opens with an in-depth consultation and includes a skin analysis, double cleanse, professional exfoliation, a customized mask and treatment serums, and product recommendations. It is designed to address acne, dryness, hyperpigmentation and overall skin health. The business also sells its own skincare line.

Lash extensions come in classic, hybrid and volume sets. Waxing covers everything from brows to Brazilian, and first-time Brazilian clients can book a $49 new-client special with a $15 deposit. Gift cards are sold in set amounts or a custom amount, and payment plans are offered through Cherry, a third-party buy now, pay later service with 0% APR options subject to eligibility.
