Custom makeup is the core of the business. Each piece is blended during the appointment, with the client trying it on as the color is adjusted, and is made from pure vegan pigments while the client waits. Custom lipsticks can be matched to skin tone, eye color, hair color and lifestyle, in a cream, matte, high shine gloss or liquid matte base, and can include shimmer, sparkle or a flavor. Custom foundation is matched to skin tone, undertone, skin type and coverage, in liquid or cream form, and custom concealer can be made for specific needs.

Makeup application is offered for glam, classic, natural, teen and special event looks, in the studio or on location. Each application begins with a skin prep suited to the client's skin needs. Makeup lessons are personalized for all ages and skill levels, including one-on-one, double lessons for two people such as friends or a mother and daughter, and virtual private lessons. Wedding services include a makeup trial and coordinated looks for engagement photos, parties and the wedding day, and can be arranged with a group of preferred hair stylists.

Skin care services include custom facials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion and hydrofacials. Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair, takes about 30 minutes, and can include a targeted mask or LED light therapy. The studio recommends dermaplaning about every four weeks and advises waiting until breakouts from cystic acne have subsided first. Custom serums are formulated around a client's skin goals, concerns and preferences.

Blende also sells its own makeup and skincare products and is expanding nationally through a franchise opportunity. Gift cards are available online starting at $25 or as physical boxed cards through the studio.

Makeup is custom blended in the moment for each client, using vegan pigments and formulas made to the individual's skin, coloring and preferences.
