Bladed Brows

Bladed Brows was established in 2018 and first focused on microblading before adding other brow and beauty services. Ashley Abbod founded the studio and owns it. The studio is on the second floor of Salons by JC in Rochester Hills.

Brow services include microblading, which uses a handheld blade to create hair-like strokes over a 2 to 2.5 hour appointment for $550. Microshading adds shading between the strokes over 2.5 to 3 hours for $600. Nano Brows are priced at $600, and powder brows are offered as a brow service with no further details listed. Microblading, microshading and nano brows each include an 8 to 10 week touch-up.

Facial services include three HydraFacial levels: Signature at $150 for 30 minutes, Deluxe at $175 for 45 minutes with LED light therapy and a booster chosen for the client's skin needs, and Platinum at $200 for one hour with lymphatic drainage. HydraFacial serums contain antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid, and clients take a serum home for daily use. Custom facials cost $45 to $75 and run 30 minutes to an hour; each begins with a skin analysis and is built to target concerns such as acne, anti-aging, uneven skin tone and brightening. Facials are given in a calm, intimate setting, and lymphatic drainage and HydraFacial treatments can also be done on the body.

Booking requires a non-refundable deposit for all services, and rescheduling needs at least 48 hours' notice. Clients who have had microblading or tattooing elsewhere should email a photo of their bare brows before booking, with replies usually within 24 to 48 hours. Diabetic clients need a doctor's note clearing them for microblading. Microblading, microshading and nano brows are not offered to people who are pregnant or nursing, prone to keloid scarring, or taking Accutane, among other listed conditions. The studio says it uses disposable tools and sterilizes equipment and the room after every client.

Brow designs are personalized for color, style, age and lifestyle, and shapes are measured with a compass and drawn to follow each client's natural brow before treatment.

Facials are given in a calm and intimate setting.
