The team includes four generations of cosmetologists, some of whom have worked together for 20 years, and the salon describes itself as fun, multi-generational and friendly, with a teaching culture behind the work.

The salon's stated mission is to encourage more people to choose a career in beauty, give clients an excellent experience, donate time and services to charity on a regular basis, and build education to raise the industry in its community. It also says it aims to help cosmetologists build financially stable careers. Bella Salon works with AVEDA and commits to reducing waste and choosing environmentally responsible products. It describes itself as women-owned and welcomes clients and staff regardless of age, race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation or identity, education level or disability.

Staff speak Spanish. The salon serves sparkling water, coffee, tea and snacks, and provides shampoo assistants. Facials and Japanese Head Spa services include an infrared PHYMAT crystal heat pad and PEMF therapy, and manicures and pedicures include AVEDA rituals for relaxation. Private and silent appointments are available, and makeup lessons take place in a private room. Color, extension, nail and cut consultations can be held by video through links on the contact page. The salon is open Monday 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday to Friday 9 AM to 8 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM. Clients can book by text, phone, email, direct message or online. Japanese Head Spa treatments are not bookable online and must be arranged by phone or email.

Pricing is tiered by artist level, from apprentice and junior stylist to stylist and artistic director, so some services cost more with more experience. A non-refundable $50 deposit is taken for services over $200, and extension bookings require a deposit equal to the cost of the hair being ordered. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and a late cancellation carries a fee of 50% of the booked price, with exceptions for emergencies. Clients who are unhappy with a service should tell the salon within one week and rebook within 14 days; they can return to the original stylist or choose another. Refunds are generally not available, and unopened product can be returned within 14 days for store credit, which cannot be used toward services. The salon accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, personal check, cash, Venmo and barter, and offers 10% off for military members and first responders.
