Bel Air Lash Bar

Bel Air Lash Bar uses Novalash extensions and is open from 9 am to 10 pm, seven days a week. The salon also has locations in Severna Park and Baltimore, each with its own website. Appointments are by appointment only, and the phone number is 443-914-3353.

The owner, Amy Greenwood, started out as a client receiving Novalash extensions and later became a lash technician, so much of the salon's work centers on that product line. Several other artists now work alongside her.

A classic full set includes an initial consultation, about two hours of application, an eyelash brush to take home and aftercare instructions. Bottom lashes are not part of a full set and are booked as a separate service. Clients who cannot confirm by text must message or email before the appointment day.

Fills depend on how many extensions remain. A two-week classic fill takes about 40 minutes and suits clients whose lashes cycle quickly, while a three-week classic fill is an hour booked every three weeks. Classic fills include a complimentary eyelash brush. American volume fills have no set interval, and a 90-minute version is offered for clients with plenty of natural lashes. Eyes with very few extensions need a full set instead of a fill. Fills can be done on lashes applied by other studios, though the salon may decline poorly applied or unruly lashes.

The American (Regular) volume full set uses handmade fans of more than one extension per lash. The salon states that this style gives a fuller lash line, longer wear time and better durability. London (Mega) volume, which the salon describes as its newest premier product, uses lighter, thinner lashes, and the salon says retention should last about four weeks before a fill, depending on outside factors. Removal of the salon's own lashes is free if there is any trouble, and removal of lashes applied by another studio carries a charge. The salon's removal solution contains no alcohol and no acetone, and the salon states that removal should not damage natural lashes.

Clients may be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or for repeated cancellations. The salon may also refuse future appointments for clients who abuse scheduling, and it may ask clients to confirm by text on the day of the appointment.

The salon centers its work on Novalash extensions, with a stated goal of comfortable application and results that last. Each set is customized in length, curl and look to suit the individual client.
