BB Meme was opened in San Diego by its owner, Koji Kuninaga, who founded the salon in 2013 after 17 years working as a hairstylist. The Hillcrest salon is on University Avenue and the Coronado location is on Park Place. Hillcrest is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Coronado is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 AM to 7 PM. Both are closed Sunday and Monday. Parking is available behind the salon.

Haircuts and color services include a shampoo and blow dry. Women's cuts start at $80 and men's at $58. Color pricing starts with a root touch-up at $100, single process color at $130, partial highlights at $150, half head highlights at $180 and full head highlights at $250. Ombre balayage starts at $250, and a root touch-up combined with full head highlights starts at $300. Artistic and corrective color, hair braiding and extensions are priced by call or consultation. The salon describes itself as experts in modern haircut styles and also offers wedding and special occasion styling.

Facials begin with a consultation about skin history and current routine, and the steps are adjusted from there. A typical facial includes a deep cleanse, a skin analysis, exfoliation chosen from physical, enzymatic or chemical options or none at all, and a customized mask. Serums come next, followed by a discussion of home-care products. Facial modalities include high frequency, microcurrent extraction and Celluma LED light therapy. Treatments are offered for anti-aging, acne and cleansing. Chemical peels use high-percentage exfoliants and are generally not offered to first-time facial clients, and skin prep is recommended beforehand.
