Bashful Beauty operates from a cottage behind Bin 303 on North Goliad Street in downtown Rockwall. Men and women both book here for facials, waxing, spray tans and other spa services. Facials are performed by professional estheticians and are adjusted to each client's skin goals, with options aimed at anti-aging, acne and hydration, and a set designed for sensitive skin. HydraFacial comes in Signature Express, Deluxe and Platinum versions, and the spa also offers a SWiCH treatment as an alternative to chemical peels, a custom chemical peel that requires a pre-peel kit and downtime, a pregnancy facial, a Gentleman's Facial with extractions and beard conditioning, and a facial for teens 19 and under.

About

Waxing covers the face, body, bikini, Brazilian and full body areas. Clients who prefer not to wax can choose sugaring for a 10 percent upcharge. Unlimited Brazilian and Manzilian memberships are available for a monthly fee under a sign-up agreement. Clients are asked to let hair grow to about a quarter to half an inch before a wax and to avoid tanning and heat beforehand. Waxing is not performed over sun-related redness. Junior waxing and junior brow services are for clients 13 and under.

For brows, the spa uses a natural, vegan-base tint that it says carries more pigment than other tints, and the tint lasts an average of four to six weeks. Guests who book a tint with a shaping appointment receive $5 off the tint. Brow lamination uses a perming solution, a neutralizer and a keratin finish to set the brow hairs, and takes about an hour. Lash options include a Korean lash lift that lifts each lash from the root, a classic lash lift with a free keratin treatment, lash tint, and lash extension removal priced by removal time. Keratin treatments for lashes or brows are complimentary within eight weeks of a lash lift or brow lamination, up to two per client.

Skin lightening is offered for multiple body areas as single treatments or as a series of three, which is recommended alongside a home care system that must be purchased. Spray tans come in a standard and a rapid version, both customized in house to each client's skin tone. The spray formula is described as made with antioxidants and botanicals. Teeth whitening is done in house and takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, with a discounted follow-up if booked within eight weeks.

Custom facials carry a cancellation fee for changes or no-shows made with less than 24 hours notice, with half credited toward the next service. Appointment time begins at the scheduled time and includes consent forms, undressing and checkout, so arriving early is recommended. A free patch test can be taken 24 to 48 hours before a service and is advised for guests with sensitivities and before tints and chemical lash or brow services.
