Preparation guidance covers hair about a quarter inch long, with a first wax best scheduled after roughly three to four weeks of growth. Skin should be clean, dry and free of lotion or oil on the day, with exfoliation two to three times a week, including the night before. Heavy products, irritation, tanning and sun exposure in the area should be avoided before a visit. Bikini and Brazilian waxes can be booked during a period with a tampon or menstrual cup in place. Changes need at least 24 hours' notice; changes made within 24 hours may carry a fee of 20% of the scheduled total, and a deposit may be required for some first-time or extended services.
