Bare Bungalow is owned by Gina Longoria, who has worked in the beauty industry for more than 20 years. She spent nearly a decade in Hawaii before opening the Hermosa Beach studio.

Hair removal is done with hard wax, soft wax and sugaring. The menu is grouped into three areas: Top Bits for the face and brows, Middle Bits for the arms, underarms, chest and back, and Bottom Bits for the bikini and legs. Single-area and combination packages are both listed, so clients can book a small area or several in one visit.

The studio also offers a Lash Lift that lifts and curls natural lashes without extensions, taking about 45 minutes. Regular and Korean Lash Lift techniques are available, and the technique is chosen at the appointment after the lashes and the desired look are assessed. Silicone lifting pads are applied to the lashes, and the business says the treatment can be combined with lash growth products. Results last up to about two months, and re-lifting is recommended every six to seven weeks.

For the first 24 hours after a Lash Lift, lashes should stay dry, and eye makeup, oil-based products, waterproof mascara and swimming should be avoided. Clients are asked to arrive without makeup and to remove contacts beforehand. The Lash Lift is not recommended for people undergoing chemotherapy.
